From BCR ... "Approximately 80 thin triangular leaves forming dense cyanea type rosette - leaves are dark green striated w/maroon becoming solid bronze-maroon at anthesis - inflorescence erect w/many spreading branches each w/cyanea like paddles in pink to dark rose containing 15 to 35 spreading violet blue blooms. T. platyrhachis x T. cyanea by Corn.Bak. 1985" Note: following reclassification, the parents are now Barfussia platyrhachis X Wallisia cyanea
The resultant intergeneric is called x Wall - fussia.
