This plant was originally labelled 'Royal Hawiian' but seems to be nothing like the David Shiigi hybrid of that name.
Recently seed from a real 'Royal Hawaiian' have been raised in Australia by Cheryl Basic, but seed from a hybrid do not grow up to be the same as the parents. There were mixed results and unfortunately some growers have simply called these 'Royal Hawaiian' also.
