Tillandsia Red Burst
From BCR ... Upright, tubular mature rosette to 20cms. tall, with soft green leaves. At blooming, the central leaves turn intense red to burgundy, with up to 15 purple flowers. Ionantha Group. See also T. 'Sybil Frasier' & T. 'Miz Ellen'. Registered 6/2013. Origin: Malaysia T. ionantha var. stricta x fasciculata by Andy Tan 2007.

Bryan Atkins ... "I have this nice little T. stricta x fasciculata flowering at the moment but cant seem to find any information or history on it. Is there anything out there that might help me out?" Geoff Lawn ... "I suggest your formula should read T. ionantha var. stricta x fasciculata. The BCR lists such parentage = T. 'Red Burst'."
