Bek Trevor 04/16 'Sonic Fizz'
Bek Trevor 14/04/16 ... "Hi folks!
Recently there has been lots of discussion on this plant, previously been sold (Ed. by The Olive Branch) as 'Sonic Boom'... That name is now incorrect, as it has just been registered as 'Neo. Sonic Fizz'. If you do have this plant under 'Sonic Boom' please help us by changing the name to 'Sonic Fizz'. The now REAL 'Sonic Boom' has not been released yet (Ed. now released), so if your plant is albo it's called 'Sonic Fizz' or if striated it would be 'Sonic Canvey Stripes'.
I know this is confusing and again I'm really sorry for the mess this has caused so many people.
Thank you again for being so understanding and patient as we sort all of this out. Also a massive shout out to Geoff Lawn for all the help with registration!"
Jo Nolan 04/07/24 ... "Just read this old post from 2016. Is the real Sonic Boom available now ?"
Michelle N Mal Cameron ... "Yes it is released but not many at all around as Neo 'Sonic Boom' does not flower. So pups are very slow."
Olga Graham ... "Purchased mine years ago as 'Sonic Fizz', and so 'Sonic Fizz' it shall remain as it is not striated.
Mark Belot ... "My 'Sonic Boom' is the real one imported into Australia by Peter Tristram.
Bought it originally about 8 or 9 years ago.
It doesn't flower & gives a pup every now & then so I have stabbed a couple over the years to get more pups."

'Sonic Boom' per. BCR ... "Mature huge rosette to over 1 metre diameter x 50cm high. Slow-growing with leaf width 12cm. 'Sonic Fizz', 'Sonic Canvey Stripes'. Reg. Doc. 7/2011 by E. Beach.
