"cv of Aechmea pimenti-velosoi. Aechmea pimenti-velosoi variegata on page 62 of Baensch's book, Blooming Bromeliads, is incorrect. It is really Aechmea 'Pie In the Sky'. See Bromeliad Cultivar Registry, page 27. The 'Aussie' plant agrees with the formal description and a herbarium specimen of a clone of this plant is held at Selby Gardens." (from FCBS notes)
